It can be quiet enough to not bother people. Hope this helps you guys. we can take it and its not a noise issue. WALMART has nothing on this.
and they would rather hear spongebob with their meal or in a waiting room rather a screaming 2 year old throwing a fit. The cheapest model at walmart is 79.99 and it isnt as nice as this and doesnt have half the accessories. This lil beauty cost me 70 bucks and thats with tax. If you have kids or you take alot of road trips, i really reccomend this. There are occasions when we take him out and he acts 2 and all we do is pull this out, pop in the spongebob dvd and hes content and quiet. I was at the mall and sam goody was going out of business and everything was 50-60% off.
I got my moneys worth in the first week i had it. Even going to the doctors office or a restaurant ( like chilis, etc.). Besides the fact it keeps our kiddo happy, the VAST accessories that come with it are enough. It has been more of a necessity to me then a luxury. Ok, First let me say i did not purchase this item online. My son is 2 and completely obsessed with spongebob.
The a/v cables, the headphones, REMOTE, and car and home charger.
STAY AWAY. COBY IS JUNK. What a help they were.Find another brand. This is a good DVD while to works but as you can see from other reviews and if you do any research (just google "coby wrong disc." After about 6 months of use itt just stopped working and is not fixable. I would go with a better brand and even pay more for the quality assurance. Also COBY customer service simply told me I was SOL.
We don't always take our laptop with us everywhere. Of course like any other electronic device that has to run on a battery, it doesn't have as long of a charge as I would like. This is a great little protable DVD player for the camper. so this DVD player fits the bill.
Then it said "No DVD" for certain DVDs. It is now a good looking but worthless piece of electronics that I hope can be recycled. This DVD player worked great with light use for a little while. Soon it said "No DVD" for all DVDs.
When it was working it seemed like a good little dvd player. It then broke for no apparent reason after only two more uses. Well, I think my title says it all. The first time I used it during a lay-over the battery died before the end of my 2 hour movie.
